Timothy Bruce Schmit, known as Timothy B. Schmit, is an American singer-songwriter and bassist born in 1947. He rose to international fame as a member of Poco from 1972 to 1977, helping to define the band's country-rock sound. In 1977, he joined the Eagles, becoming one of the pillars of the group until today. Schmit brought a warm and melodic voice to the formation, characterized by introspective lyrics and refined arrangements.
