Tin Machine was a British hard rock band active from 1988 to 1992, led by the legendary artist David Bowie. The project emerged as a reaction to Bowie's commercial success in the 1980s, with the aim of returning to the roots of raw and authentic rock. The original lineup also included Reeves Gabrels (guitar), Tony Thompson (drums) and Hunt Sales (bass).
