The sign says do not touch - youre out of bounds
Youre forbidden fruit, dont come around
It says dont make plans cause on your hand
Is a promise made to another man
cause when youre around my defenses go down
Feelings get stronger, looks get longer
The closer you come, the weaker I get
If it aint happened now, just aint happened yet
Chorus:
So please, please, please go
Im not strong enough to say no
Please, please dont stay
Im not man enough to walk away
Please, please pass by
I cant resist you even though I try
So please go, Im not strong to say no
The sign says slow down-slippery ice
You got dangerous curves, dont think twice
It says, not for sale, your spoken for
Just take your heart and walk out the door
cause when youre around my defenses go down
Feelings get stronger, looks get longer
The closer you come, the weaker I get
If it aint happened now, just aint happened yet
Repeat chrous
Dont say I didnt warn you, dont say you didnt know
Dont wait til its too late and then try to go
The closer you come, the weaker I get
If it aint happened now, just aint happened yet
Im beggin you
Repeat chorus
Blackhawk is an American country music group formed in 1992 by Henry Paul (lead vocals, mandolin, acoustic guitar), Van Stephenson (background vocals, electric guitar) and Dave Robbins (background vocals, keyboards). Several backing musicians also performed with the trio; however, these backing musicians were not officially part of BlackHawk until 2008. Blackhawk achieved considerable success in the 1990s with hits like "Postcard from Heaven", "Every Once in a While" and "I'm Not Strong Enough to Say No". Their self-titled debut album, released in 1993, went gold. The group continued to release music until 2006, when they disbanded. In 2018, they announced their return with a new album and tour.
