Melechesh è un gruppo musicale israeliano che fonde elementi di black metal con influenze orientali. Fondato a Betlemme e Gerusalemme nel 1998, il gruppo si trasferì ad Amsterdam nello stesso anno. Il loro sound caratteristico combina riff aggressivi di black metal con melodie arabe e strumenti tradizionali mediorientali come la darbuka e il oud. I testi spesso esplorano temi religiosi, mitologici e storici del Medio Oriente, incentrandosi sulla figura di Melechesh, un demone biblico associato al caos e alla distruzione.
