Hundreds & Thousands (Somerville/Steinbachek/Bronski)
Oooh, oooh, oooh, oooh
Memories, sweet memories
Lost in these memories
Lost I should stay
Days, brilliant days
Love filled these brilliant days
These days are foregone
Alone, alone I pray
Love that was wonderful
Love nobody knows
My head it cries from wall to wall
My heart will scream down down I fall
My heart, down I fall, down I fall
Down匢 fall!
Bronski Beat was a British synth pop trio active from the late 1970s to the early 1990s. The group achieved international success in 1984 with the single "Smalltown Boy", which became an anthem for the LGBTQ+ community. Bronski Beat distinguished itself by openly addressing themes related to homosexuality in its songs, often including political and social commentary. The trio consisted of Jimmy Somerville (vocals), Steve Bronski (keyboards and percussion) and Larry Steinbachek (keyboards and percussion). After the group's disbandment, Jimmy Somerville continued his musical career as the frontman of The Communards and as a solo artist. Among Bronski Beat's most representative songs are also "It's a Sin", "Why" and "The Age of Consent".
