Luigi Tenco (1938-1967) was an Italian singer-songwriter, poet, and composer considered one of the most important songwriters in Italian music. Born in Sanremo, Liguria, his music was characterized by poetic lyrics and melancholic melodies that reflected his life experiences and reflections on society. ?? Tenco was a member of the so-called "Genovese school", alongside artists like Fabrizio De André, Bruno Lauzi, Gino Paoli, and Umberto Bindi. Some of his most famous songs include "Ciao amore ciao", "Un uomo in città", "La canzone del sole" and "Il mio canto libero".
