Allison Flower è un gruppo musicale italiano formatosi a Reggio Calabria nel 2001 da Joss e Luis, due ex compagni di scuola appassionati di musica, in particolare di band come Soundgarden, The Doors, Led Zeppelin, Pearl Jam, Nirvana e The Beatles. Il nome originale del gruppo era Spleen, ispirato alla passione di Joss per la poesia di Charles Baudelaire. Le prime canzoni erano caratterizzate da rabbia e melodia, con una struttura semplice e diretta e uno stile musicale crudo. Il debutto live avvenne al tour I-Tim 2001 a Reggio Calabria, dove eseguirono il brano "Song of Swan" davanti a migliaia di persone. Nel 2002 si unì al gruppo Pier, e Spleen partecipò a numerosi contest come Arezzo Wave, Pistoia Blues e Tim Tour 2002, registrando anche un demo in uno studio professionale di Cosenza. Nel corso degli anni lo stile musicale del gruppo si è evoluto, diventando più articolato e aggressivo. Nel 2003 vinsero il contest Rock di Cosenza, partecipando a una compilation di band locali della Calabria e registrando un nuovo demo con quattro brani in studio e uno live. Nel 2004, con l'aiuto di due registi locali, realizzarono un videoclip per la canzone "Time's Rail". Nel 2005 entrò a far parte del gruppo Mark, proveniente dalla band Mas Ruido, portando con sé una grande esperienza live. Lo stile musicale e le performance dal vivo si sono ulteriormente evoluti, diventando più potenti e dinamici. Dopo un periodo di riscaldamento caratterizzato da concerti e partecipazioni a contest (Universound 2006, Arezzo Wave 2005-2006, Tim Tour 2005, DemoRaiFest 2006), il gruppo ha registrato il suo primo album "Naked to nothing" agli Alpha Omega studios di Como con Alex Azzali come produttore. Nel marzo 2007, "Naked to nothing" è stato incluso nel programma radiofonico "The Best of Demo" (Radio Uno Rai) tra gli album più interessanti delle nuove band emergenti.
