Alvin Lee, nato Graham Barnes il 19 dicembre 1944 a Nottingham, Inghilterra, è stato un chitarrista e cantante rock inglese. Iniziò a suonare la chitarra all'età di 13 anni e con Leo Lyons formò il nucleo della band Ten Years After nel 1960. Influenzato dalla collezione di jazz e blues dei suoi genitori, fu l'avvento del rock and roll a scatenare il suo interesse e creatività, e chitarristi come Chuck Berry e Scotty Moore furono la sua ispirazione. Con Ten Years After, Lee raggiunse fama internazionale negli anni '70 grazie al successo del loro album "Live at Woodstock" (1970), che includeva l'iconica performance di "I'm Going Home". La sua tecnica chitarristica virtuosa e il suo stile blues-rock lo hanno reso un punto di riferimento per generazioni di musicisti.
