Vicky Leandros, born Vassiliki Papathanasiou (Athens, August 23, 1949), is a Greek singer of international fame. She began her musical career at the age of ten, participating in television and radio programs in Greece. In 1967 she moved to Munich to pursue music professionally. Her success came in 1972 with the song "Après toi", which earned her victory at the Eurovision Song Contest, becoming a major international hit. Leandros has released numerous albums in various languages, including Greek, German, French, and English. She is known for her powerful and melodious voice, and for her romantic and pop songs. Among her most famous hits are "The Last Goodbye", "S'il suffisait d'aimer" and "J'ai besoin de toi". Vicky Leandros is considered one of the most influential musical artists of modern Greece.
