Hugh Alan Cornwell (nato il 28 aprile 1949) è un cantautore e chitarrista britannico, noto soprattutto per essere stato il frontman e chitarrista principale dei The Stranglers dal 1974 al 1990. Cornwell ha contribuito a definire l'immagine musicale del gruppo con la sua voce roca e le sue melodie dark, influenzate da punk rock, new wave e musica classica. Durante la sua permanenza negli Stranglers, ha scritto alcuni dei loro brani più iconici come "Always the Sun", "Golden Brown" e "No More Heroes".
