Melamanouche, pseudonimo di Paola Passarello, è cantautrice e musicista italiana di formazione teatrale. I suoi brani si ispirano alle melodie nostalgiche della canzone napoletana, reinterpretandole con uno stile arpeggiato e accordature aperte che mettono in risalto la sua voce argentina, capace di assottigliarsi sugli acuti e diventare più profonda nei bridge. Influenzata dalle ritmiche della chitarra siciliana e salentina, Melamanouche ha studiato chitarra battente e si è dedicata all'interpretazione originale delle canzoni di Rosa Balestreri. La sua formazione musicale comprende lo studio del jazz con maestri come Martina Zambelli, Stefano Pennini, Jacopo Delfini e Carmelo Tartamella, direttore artistico del Cremona Jazz Festival. Ha inoltre approfondito la conoscenza del blues e del gospel grazie alla collaborazione con la cantante Shanna Waterstown. Considerata la prima chitarrista italiana specializzata nello stile jazz manouche, Melamanouche si dedica alla diffusione di un nuovo swing europeo che unisca il bel canto italiano, le ritmiche della chitarra francese e lo scat americano. Si esibisce in duo, quartetto e quintetto con un repertorio di standard jazz, ma la sua passione per il teatro l'ha portata a scrivere testi ispirati alle melodie di Django Reinhardt. Ha recitato nei più importanti teatri milanesi (Piccolo Teatro, Teatro Manzoni, Teatro Smeraldo, Teatro della Luna), dimostrando le sue doti attoriali e canore. Tra le collaborazioni più significative figurano Carmelo Tartamella, Shanna Waterstown, Duved Dunayevsky, Adrien Tarraga, Fausto Savatteri e Humberto Amésquita. Ha partecipato a festival di rilievo come il Milano Django Festival (2019), il Borgo Jazz (2023) e il Kalabriaecofest (2023). Con il suo talento straordinario e la sua capacità innata di emozionare, MelaManouche continua a stupire, confermandosi come una delle artiste più originali e versatili della scena musicale italiana.
