Eric Lynn Wright, better known as Eazy-E, was an American rapper and record producer considered one of the pioneers of gangsta rap. Born in Compton, California, in 1964, Eazy-E founded the group N.W.A (Niggaz Wit Attitudes) in 1986 with Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, MC Ren and DJ Yella. In 1987 he founded Ruthless Records, which became one of the leading record labels in rap. Despite his success, Eazy-E died in 1995 from an AIDS infection, leaving a lasting legacy in hip hop music.
