Valérie s'ennuyait
Dans les bras de Nicolas
Mais Nicolas, celui-là
Ne le savait pas
Isabelle a attendu, attendu
Les Rita Mitsouko are a French musical duo formed in Paris in 1980 by Fred Chichin (guitar) and Catherine Ringer (vocals). Their sound, defined as pop rock with influences from punk and new wave, made them one of the most iconic groups on the French music scene of the 1980s and 1990s. Their music is characterized by ironic and provocative lyrics, often in French, and a contagious stage energy. Among their most famous songs are «Marcia Rita», «Andy», «C'est comme ça» and «Les Mains dans le vent». After a long career marked by record successes and sold-out concerts, the group disbanded in 2008 with the death of Fred Chichin. Les Rita Mitsouko have left an indelible mark on French music, influencing generations of artists.
