Timo Tapio Tolkki (born July 19, 1965) is a Finnish musician best known as the founder, lead guitarist, and composer of Stratovarius. Tolkki began his musical career in the 1980s with several local bands before forming Stratovarius in 1984. Under his leadership, Stratovarius became one of the most influential power metal bands worldwide, releasing successful albums such as *Fourth Dimension* (1995), *Visions* (1997), and *Destiny* (2000).
