Questa storia è quella di un bambino
che diceva sempre sì
entusiasta di ogni cosa:
era un mondo che poi finì.
Mi ricordo la città, la mia Milano,
senza odio per nessuno
E la gente silenziosa nella chiesa
a pregare tutti uniti come uno
io da qui non vado via...
Lombardia, Lombardia
grande terra mia...
Terra piana e montana
Gente forte che
è operosa, generosa
senza una bugia
ti dà il cuore
parla poco
ma dice quel che è...
Tutto il mondo chiuso in una via
il suo nome: ?buona volontà?
una strada di periferia
di chi accetta e ti ridà?
Di chi ha poco e resta fiducioso
che poi in meglio cambierà?
Di chi lavora e vive con poesia.
E se anche vado via?
Lombardia, Lombardia
grande terra mia
orgogliosa, laboriosa
piena di energia
gente onesta
la lombarda
fidati perché
ha un gran cuore
pensa in grande
ma resta quel che è
Lombardia, Lombardia
grande terra mia...
Terra piana e montana
Gente forte che
è operosa, generosa
senza una bugia
ha un gran cuore
pensa a tutti
e stringe tutti a sé
