String Cheese Incident (SCI) is an American musical group formed in Crested Butte, Colorado in 1993. Their sound falls within the jam band genre, blending elements of rock, bluegrass, funk and electronic music. The original lineup included Michael Kang (mandolin, violin), Michael Travis (drums, percussion), Bill Nershi (acoustic guitar, vocals), Kyle Hollingsworth (keyboards, organ) and Keith Moseley (bass).
