Spoken:
Love, love is for fools
Why, we do what we do
Love is for fools
Love when it falls apart
And it breaks your heart
Into a thousand pieces
Time take these blues away
If it's love you say
Please be sure you mean it
Chorus:
Cause love is for fools
Love is for fools
Why do we do
The things that we do
Cause love is for fools
Tears, falling from these eyes
Oh it's not surprise
While sitting in the dark
I think of love
Why must you burden me
With insecurity
For all I feel is pain and broken heart
chorus
Love is, love is, for fools, fools
Love is, love is, for fools, fools
Love is, love is, for fools, fools
Love is, love is, for fools, fools
chorus
Mint Condition is an R and B band from Saint Paul, Minnesota. Formed in the late 1980s, its original members were lead singer (and in-studio drummer/percussionist) Stokley Williams, bassist Ricky Kinchen, guitarist Homer O'Dell, pianist Larry Waddell, keyboardist Keri Lewis, and keyboardist/saxophonist Jeffrey Allen. Currently, this line-up remains intact, with the exception of Lewis, who left the group to produce for other artists. The group is well known for its highly diverse musical style (able to play anything from traditional jazz stylings to mainstream R and B and rock-based music to funk grooves and even Latin and Jamaican-based rhythms) and also its captivating live performances. The band is also well known for their well written and produced R and B ballads, mainly in the 1990s. Some of their most representative songs include "What Kinda Man", "Breakin' My Heart" and "Pretty Fine".
