The Sugarcubes were an Icelandic alternative rock band active from 1986 to 1992. Founded in Reykjavík, the group was led by singer and songwriter Björk, who stood out for her ethereal voice and theatrical performances. The band achieved a certain international popularity thanks to the album "Life's Too Good" (1988), which included the hit single "Birthday".
