Earl Rudolph Powell, noto come Bud Powell, è stato un pianista e compositore jazz statunitense considerato uno dei più influenti musicisti del bebop. Nato a New York nel 1924, Powell iniziò a suonare il pianoforte all'età di sette anni. Influenzato da artisti come Art Tatum e Teddy Wilson, sviluppò un stile caratterizzato da virtuosismo tecnico, improvvisazione brillante e melodie memorabili.
