Sui Generis è un gruppo musicale argentino di grande importanza storica nel panorama rock latinoamericano. Attivo dal 1965 al 1971, il gruppo ha saputo coniugare influenze progressive, psichedeliche e folk, anticipando tendenze musicali che avrebbero segnato la scena internazionale degli anni '70. Tra i membri fondatori si annoverano Charly García (tastiere, voce) e Nito Mestre (chitarra, voce), due figure iconiche della musica argentina. Obras Cumbres (1968) è considerato un album fondamentale del rock argentino, con brani come "El Mundo", "La Canción de las Mariposas" e "Rasguña las Piedras". Altri album di successo sono Confesiones de Invierno (1970), Sui Generis En Estudio (1969) e Adios Sui Generis (1971).
