Stone Sour is an American hard rock band formed in Des Moines, Iowa in 1992. The founding members are Corey Taylor (vocals), Joel Ekman (drums) and James Root (guitar). Over the years, the lineup has undergone several changes, with Shawn Economaki (bass) as a member until 2006.
