Animal Collective is an American experimental music group formed in 1998 in Baltimore, Maryland. Composed of Avey Tare (David Portner), Panda Bear (Noah Lennox), Deakin (Josh Dibb) and Geologist (Brian Weitz), the band is known for its psychedelic, electronic and noise pop music, characterized by complex arrangements, ethereal vocals and a dreamlike atmosphere.
