Kenny Loggins e Jim Messina sono un duo musicale statunitense attivo principalmente negli anni '70. Loggins, proveniente da una famiglia di musicisti, era già un talentuoso cantautore quando incontrò Messina, ex membro del gruppo Poco e affermato produttore. Inizialmente Messina aveva intenzione di aiutare Loggins nella produzione del suo album d'esordio, ma la sua partecipazione fu così significativa che l'album venne pubblicato come "Kenny Loggins with Jim Messina Sittin' In" (1972). Il duo raggiunse il successo con brani come "Your Mama Don't Dance", "Danny's Song" e "House at Pooh Corner", caratterizzati da un sound folk-rock melodico e orecchiabile.
