The Exies were an American hard rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1997. The band's name is a shortened version of "The Existentialists". Their sound, characterized by heavy riffs and catchy melodies, gained them a following worldwide. The Exies released two albums with Virgin Records: "Inertia" (2003) and "Head for the Door" (2004), both critically acclaimed and commercially successful.
