Herman Brood (1946-2001) was a Dutch musician, painter and media personality. Throughout his career he collaborated with artists like The Blues Brothers and the Dutch band Golden Earring. His life was marked by ups and downs, between moments of great success and periods of personal difficulty. In 2001, Brood committed suicide at the age of 54.
