Little Willie John, stage name of William Edward John (1937-1968), was an American singer and songwriter of rhythm and blues. Born in Montgomery, Alabama, John began his musical career in the 1950s, quickly becoming a key figure in the R and B scene thanks to his powerful voice and theatrical style. ?? Among his most notable successes are "All Around the World", "Fever" (which was later covered by Peggy Lee) and "Let It Rain". John collaborated with several prominent artists, including Ray Charles and Sam Cooke. His music has influenced generations of musicians and continues to be appreciated for its energy and emotional impact. John died prematurely in 1968 at the age of 31.
