Dave Wakeling (nato David Wakeling il 19 febbraio 1956 a Birmingham, Inghilterra) è un cantautore e chitarrista inglese noto per essere stato il cantante e principale compositore della band ska degli anni '80 The Beat (conosciuta negli Stati Uniti come The English Beat) e successivamente di General Public. Wakeling ha iniziato la sua carriera musicale nei primi anni '70 con gruppi locali a Birmingham, influenzato dal reggae e dalla musica ska.
