Billy Rankin is a Scottish musician, best known for being the guitarist and backing vocalist for the rock band Nazareth during the 1970s. Before joining Nazareth in 1975, he played with various local bands in Scotland. With Nazareth, he contributed to recording some of their most popular albums, including "Hair of the Dog" (1975) and "Close Enough for Rock 'n' Roll" (1978). In 1980, Rankin left Nazareth to pursue a solo career. He released two studio albums: "Growin' Up Too Fast" (1980) and "Billy Rankin - Shake" (1982).
