Todor "Toše" Proeski (1981-2008) was a Macedonian singer, considered one of the greatest Balkan artists of all time. Born in Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia, Toše began his musical career at the age of 16, participating in several national music festivals and winning the Eurovision Children's Song Contest in 2001. His music, a mix of pop, folk and Balkan influences, quickly captured the attention of audiences throughout Europe. Among his most famous successes are "Crno i Belo", "Nebo", "Samo Ljubav" and "Vjetar". Toše Proeski was a symbol of unity and peace for the Balkan peoples, his music transcended linguistic and cultural barriers. His tragic death in a car accident in 2008 left a huge void in the world of music.
