Chaos UK è una band punk hardcore inglese formatasi nel 1979 a Portishead, vicino a Bristol. Il gruppo ha inizialmente suonato un hardcore punk veloce e aggressivo, rivoluzionando la scena HC punk insieme a Disorder di Bristol e Discharge di Stoke-on-Trent. In particolare, le band giapponesi dell'HC punk degli anni '80 sono state pesantemente influenzate dall'approccio brutale di Chaos UK e Disorder. L'album di debutto del gruppo è stato notato per la dichiarazione dell'etichetta che lo definì «l'LP più veloce e rumoroso dell'universo» sulla rivista a breve vita «Punk Lives».
