When I was young somebody once told me
You don't get what you want, you get what you need
All I needed was fortune, fame and glory
When I got it, it wasn't what it seemed
I woke up in a room that had no window
Sick as a dog no home and in the rain
Look at the fool too cool to stop and listen
He'd rather try to deal with his own pain
One shot away to meet your maker
One shot away no easy way out
One shot away and you'll leave everyone behind
One shot away no easy way out
Strungout
No easy way out
Lights out
No easy way out
It's not so easy to make it today
I'm here to tell you tomorrow's too late
One shot away to meet your maker
One shot away no easy way out
One shot away and you'll leave everyone behind
One shot away no easy way out
One shot away and you'll leave everyone behind
One shot away the easy way out
T.S.O.L. (abbreviation of "Total Social Outcast") is an American hardcore punk band formed in Los Angeles at the end of the 1970s. Considered one of the founding groups of hardcore, they have influenced numerous subsequent bands, including Black Flag and Bad Brains. Their characteristic sound combines elements of traditional punk rock with greater aggression and speed. Throughout their career, T.S.O.L. has gone through several stylistic phases, moving from a more raw hardcore to more melodic sounds and even experimenting with a brief period of hard rock in the 1980s. Among the most representative songs are "Code Blue", "Life's a Mess" and "Abolish Government". Their debut album, "T.S.O.L.", released in 1981, is considered a classic of hardcore punk.
