Well my life is worth nothing to some
While to others I am number one.
And it can be so hard to know
When to try, when to give up and go
Now this feeling is reeling me in
I can feel it like it was my skin
In my head I repeat a new rule
Pain is easy, pleasure is cruel
I tell you,
Only the strongest will survive
These days you've got to kill yourself just to stay alive.
Well there's only one life and you know,
It won't take you where you want to go
Yesterday was a walk in the park
But tomorrow is a step in the dark
And my life is worthing to some
But to you I hope I am number one.
In my head I repeat a new rule
Pain is easy, pleasure is cruel
I tell you,
Only the strongest will survive
These days you've got to kill yourself just to stay alive.
Everybody's talking like they want to see the party begin
I'll be in the alley, get a taxi, cos i'm staying in
Only the strongest will survive...
I'm strong enough to get you through
Are you strong enough to help me to?
Only the strongest will survive...
Hurricane No. 1 were an indie/Britpop band formed in 1996. The group consisted of former Ride vocalist and guitarist Andy Bell, singer and guitarist Alex Lowe, bassist Will Pepper, and drummer Gareth Farmer. Their sound was characterized by catchy melodies, incisive guitar riffs, and introspective lyrics that reflected the melancholic atmosphere of Britpop at the time. The band released two studio albums: "The First Album" (1997) and "Hurricane No. 1" (1999). Among their most representative songs are "I Don't Want to Know", "You Can't Stop Me Now" and "She's Got a Smile". Despite critical acclaim, Hurricane No. 1 did not achieve the popularity of their Britpop contemporaries. After the release of the second album, the band disbanded in 2000.

My favorite group when I was just a teenager were the Fugees, thanks to them a certain curiosity about english language was born in me. I wanted to know and understand the lyrics of their songs, it wasn't enough for me to be carried away exclusively by their beautiful music.
Sweden and the United States are two countries far from each other, thousands of kilometers separate them, the language, culinary and sporting traditions, I don't feel so categorical about the landscapes, not knowing all of America there may be states that have the same reliefs of the country of northern Europe, but on one thing I am sure
