Satyricon è una delle band black metal norvegesi più influenti e longeve. Fondata nel 1991 da Sigurd "Satyr" Wongraven e Kjetil "Frost" Haraldstad, il gruppo ha contribuito in modo significativo alla definizione del genere negli anni '90. Il loro debutto, l'EP *All the Fools Are on Their Side*, risale al 1994 ed è considerato un classico del black metal norvegese.
