(Carlene Carter)
It's the sweetest thing
Now I've finally found him
I'll never be the same
No I don't mind the pain
When it hits I miss him
I long to kiss him again and again
It's the sweetest thing
When he means what he means
Believe the unbleievable
It's highly conceivable
It's yours for the asking
And times everlasting it's good so good
Now you're the only man
Man enough to love me
The only man one and only one can
It's you and me
We'll be like cats up a tree
We can fall through the air
They can't touch us when we're up there
We're silent partners we make sweet company
It's a patient love that waits patiently
For the sweetest thing
The only love is waiting there for me
Oh you're the only man
Man enough to love me
The only man one and only one can
It won't go away
Now it's here now it's gonna stay
Once and for all that's enough
For a lifetime
We're silent partners we make sweet company
It's a patient love that waits patiently
For it's the sweetest thing
The only love waiting there for me
