The Dream of the Chrysalis is a musical project born in 2013 from the creative spark of Vladimiro Modolo, author of music and lyrics. The name of the group derives from a magazine of psychology and culture titled "The dream of the butterfly", where the term "Chrysalis" represents the continuous evolution of human nature. Initially, The Dream of the Chrysalis' sound was placed in the late 2000s singer-songwriter scene. The artist has played in Roman venues such as Citofoni, Circolo degli Artisti, Wishlist Club, Init and Locanda Atlantide, introducing artists like Edda, Non Voglio che Clara and I sei ottavi. In 2015, the song "Colpa della fame" (Blame of Hunger), inspired by the story of Stefano Cucchi, won the national Augusto Daolio prize for best lyrics. The Dream of the Chrysalis participated in the first three memorial Stefano Cucchi sharing the stage with artists like Giancane, Muro del Canto and Mannarino. The first album, "Vie d'uscita" (Exit Routes), was released in 2017. In 2020, during the pandemic, he released the single "Migliori di così?" (Better Than This?) addressing the theme of human beings forced to live in captivity due to the Coronavirus. The second album, characterized by a more electronic sound, vintage atmospheres and engaged but carefree lyrics, was released in 2024 with the collaboration of Manuele Fusaroli on production. The single "Le tue scuse" (Your Excuses), dedicated to the brain drain abroad, was presented at Largo Venue in Rome and at Casa Sanremo 2024.
