Mark Freuder Knopfler (nacque il 12 agosto 1949) è un cantautore, chitarrista, compositore e produttore discografico britannico. Noto per la sua tecnica di chitarra raffinata e le melodie memorabili, ha raggiunto fama internazionale come leader del gruppo Dire Straits, con cui ha venduto oltre 120 milioni di dischi in tutto il mondo.
