Shaila Dúrcal, born Shaila de los Ángeles Morales de las Heras, is a Spanish singer and guitarist born in Madrid in 1950. Daughter of a famous flamenco musician, she began her musical career as a child, performing in Spanish venues with her father. Throughout the 1970s, she achieved great success in Spain and Latin America with her style that blends elements of flamenco, pop music, and bolero. Among her most famous songs are "Mi corazón te lo doy", "El amor no tiene edad" and "La mujer de tu vida". In 1980, she won the Ondas Award for musical career. Shaila Dúrcal is considered one of the most important Spanish music artists of the 20th century, thanks to her vocal talent, artistic versatility, and ability to conquer an international audience.
