Huokaus kulkee, se syliinsä sulkee
jo vierähtäneen kyyneleen
tunnelma lämmin ja surullinen
mutta silti onnellinen
Sun jalkasi hakkaavat katujen kultaa
mä jähmetyn keskellä jään
sä lähetät kaukaisen kaupungin luolista
valoa lämmittävää
Me neroja ollaan sä tiesitkö sen
me keksimme rakkauden
Sä olen maa, mä olen kuu
sä olet kuu, mä olen maa
Rakennan sun sydämeesi taloa mä rakastan sua
enemmän kuin Jumalaa
rakennan sun sydämeesi taloa mä rakastan sua
enemmän kuin Jumalaa
Hetkemme kauneimmat liian kauniita
sanojen viekkaudelle
rakkaus on rauhaa ja vapautta
sanoja raiskattuja
On kotini linnaakin komeampi
sydämesi
on kotisi lämmin ja lohdullinen
sydämeni
Me neroja ollaan sä tiesitkö sen
me keksimme rakkauden
Sä olet maa, mä olen kuu
sä olet kuu, mä olen maa
Rakennan sun sydämeesi taloa mä rakastan sua
enemmän kuin Jumalaa
rakennan sun sydämeesi taloa mä rakastan sua
enemmän kuin Jumalaa
julistan sun sydämesi valoa mä rakastan sua
enemmän kuin Jumalaa
rakennan sun sydämeesi taloa mä rakastan sua
enemmän kuin Jumalaa
Sielun Veljet was a Finnish rock band active in the 1980s. Formed shortly after the disbanding of Hassisen Kone, the group was led by Ismo Alanko, former frontman of the previous formation. Although they did not achieve the fame and record sales figures of Hassisen Kone, Sielun Veljet distinguished themselves for a powerful stage presence and an aggressive, shamanistic post-punk musical style. Most of the band's recorded material is sung in Finnish, except for their 1989 album *Softwood Music Under Slow Pillars*. They also recorded English language versions of their songs under the moniker L'amourder.

My favorite group when I was just a teenager were the Fugees, thanks to them a certain curiosity about english language was born in me. I wanted to know and understand the lyrics of their songs, it wasn't enough for me to be carried away exclusively by their beautiful music.
