The Icicle Works sono stati una band inglese di alternative rock attiva durante gli anni '80. Il nome della band deriva dalla storia breve del 1960 "Il giorno in cui chiusero le fabbriche di cristalli" dell'autore di fantascienza Frederik Pohl. I The Icicle Works si unirono all'onda di "neo-psichedelia" di Liverpool degli anni '80, che ha lanciato al successo anche band come Echo and the Bunnymen e The Teardrop Explodes.
