Melanie Janene Thornton (1967-2001) was an American singer known internationally for her powerful and versatile voice in the Eurodance music scene. Her career began in the 1990s with the duo La Bouche, formed with Lane McCray. The duo achieved extraordinary success with hits like «Be My Lover» and «Sweet Dreams», becoming one of the symbols of global Eurodance. Besides her work with La Bouche, Melanie Thornton collaborated with various artists and groups, including Le Click, Men Behind, and Groovin Affairs.
