The Incredible String Band (ISB) was a Scottish psychedelic folk band formed in 1965. They gained a considerable following, especially within British counterculture, before splitting up in 1974. The group's members are musical pioneers in psych folk and, by integrating a wide variety of traditional music forms and instruments, they contributed to the development of world music.
