Susanna Parigi (1948-2016) was an Italian singer-songwriter, musician, and composer. Born in Rome, she began her career in the 1970s with a folk sound influenced by Italian songwriting. Among her most well-known songs are "My Friend", "The House of Paper" and "A Summer Day". Parigi distinguished herself for her catchy melodies, introspective lyrics, and warm, reassuring voice. She collaborated with several artists in the Italian music scene, including Lucio Battisti and Fabrizio De André. Her music has spanned generations, remaining a reference point for contemporary Italian songwriting.
