Terrance James Reid, known as Terry Reid, was a British singer-songwriter and guitarist active from the late 1960s to the early 1970s. Reid is known for his powerful and bluesy vocal style, influenced by artists like Muddy Waters and Howlin' Wolf. He collaborated with several prominent musicians, including Led Zeppelin, sharing the stage with them in some concerts at the beginning of their career. In 1967, Reid signed a record deal with Decca Records and released his debut album, "Terry Reid", which included the single "River", a blues rock song that became an underground hit. Reid was also one of the first artists to collaborate with the independent label Island Records.
