Michael Cretu, meglio conosciuto come Curly M.C., è un musicista rumeno naturalizzato tedesco nato a Iasi nel 1958. È noto per essere stato il marito e produttore della cantante pop Sandra, nonché fondatore del progetto musicale Enigma negli anni novanta. Enigma ha raggiunto un successo internazionale con album come *MCMXC A.D.* (1990) e *The Cross of Changes* (1993), caratterizzati da sonorità elettroniche, atmosfere mistiche e influenze musicali provenienti da diverse culture. Cretu è stato il principale compositore e produttore di Enigma, collaborando con vari artisti come David Fairstein e Ruth-Ann Boyle. Oltre al lavoro con Enigma, ha prodotto album per altri artisti, tra cui Sandra e la band rumena S.O.S.
