Earl Thomas Conley (1941-2009) was an American country music singer and songwriter. Born in Lexington, Kentucky, Conley began his musical career in the 1960s as a supporting musician for various country artists. In 1978, he signed with RCA Records and achieved his first success with the single "Holding Her and Loving You". Conley is known for his warm and melodious voice, which allowed him to interpret love songs, everyday life stories, and country ballads.
