Michele Caparezza, nato a Molfetta nel 1973, è un cantautore e rapper italiano noto per il suo stile musicale originale e le sue liriche spesso ironiche e provocatorie. Figlio di una maestra e di un operaio musicista, inizia a comporre canzoni fin da bambino. Dopo aver studiato ragioneria e pubblicità, abbandona la carriera universitaria per dedicarsi alla musica. Inizialmente si esibisce come rapper con il nome d'arte Mikimix, partecipando a festival musicali come Castrocaro e Sanremo Giovani. Nel 1997 pubblica il suo primo album, *La mia buona stella*, ma è solo nel 2000 con l'album *?!* che assume il nome Caparezza (in dialetto molfettese significa "testa riccia") e inizia a ottenere successo. L'album *Verità supposte* del 2003 lo consacra come artista di spicco, grazie a brani come *Fuori dal tunnel*, tormentone estivo che diventa oggetto di dibattito per la sua interpretazione ironica del divertimento notturno. Caparezza continua a pubblicare album di successo come *Habemus Capa* (2006), *Le dimensioni del mio caos* (2008) e *Il sogno eretico* (2011). Caparezza è noto per la sua capacità di mescolare generi musicali, dalla musica elettronica al rap, passando per il rock e la canzone d'autore.
