Juan Esteban Aristizábal Vásquez, in arte Juanes (Medellín, 9 agosto 1972), è un cantante e chitarrista colombiano considerato uno dei più grandi artisti latinoamericani di tutti i tempi. Iniziò la sua carriera musicale all'età di 15 anni con il gruppo metal Ekhymosis, attivo per dodici anni e autore di cinque album. Nel 1999, Juanes decise di intraprendere una carriera da solista, abbreviando il suo nome in Juanes. Il suo debutto da solista, *Fíjate bien* (2000), gli valse tre Latin Grammy Awards: Migliore Artista Novità, Miglior Album Vocale da Solista e Miglior Canzone Rock. Il successo continuò con *Un día normal* (2002), prodotto da Gustavo Santaolalla, che dominò le classifiche latinoamericane e gli conferì cinque Latin Grammy Awards, tra cui Canzone dell'Anno e Album dell'Anno.
