Song for insane times

People say that they want to be free
They look at him and they look at me
But its only themselves theyre wanting to see
And everybody knows about it

We talk all night and were all turned on
We believe we heard him singing his song
Telling us all there was work to be done
And everyone sung a chorus of I am the walrus

Yes disneyland has come to town
Everyones dressed and standing around
Alice is wearing her sexiest gown
But she doesnt want you to look at her

Beautiful people are queuing to drown
They wait for the lifeguard to put on his crown
But hes up at the other end of town
Trying to talk to the mirror

The scientist talks and he knows what he means
He sits on the floor and has beautiful dreams
Then he gets brought down by a woman who screams
But he knows its only a record oh yes it is

His brave new girl stops feeding the ants
And looks at him with her septic pants
She still knows how to make him dance
And forget about emancipation its just imagination

And you and I we sit and hum
We know somethings got to come
And get us off our endless bum
Theres probably one in the bathroom
Or even in the hall
I dont know anymore than you do
In fact I dont know anything at all

Thank you because you correct this lyrics

Biografia

Kevin Ayers was an English singer-songwriter, guitarist, and bassist born in 1944. Considered one of the pillars of the Canterbury music scene, he deeply influenced international psychedelic and progressive music. Ayers distinguished himself for his solo works but was also a founding member of Soft Machine in the late 1960s. His life was marked by nomadism: he spent his childhood in Malaysia, then lived long periods in Spain and France. Ayers collaborated with numerous prominent artists, including Brian Eno, Phil Manzanera, Mike Oldfield, Andy Summers, Ollie Halsall, Robert Wyatt, Daevid Allen, Syd Barrett, Elton John, Nico, and John Cale. Among his most important albums are *The Whole World* (1970) and *Shooting at the Moon* (1972). Some of the songs that made him famous are 'Lady of Shalott', 'Singing a Song in the Dark' and 'This Is The Day'.
