Caterina Valente (1924-2015) è stata una delle voci più amate e riconoscibili della musica italiana del XX secolo. Nata a Vienna da genitori italiani, si trasferì in Italia all'età di 18 anni dove iniziò la sua carriera artistica come cantante. La sua voce calda e versatile le permise di interpretare con successo generi musicali diversi, dal jazz al pop, dalla canzone d'autore alla musica leggera. Tra i suoi brani più famosi ricordiamo "Bambolina", "La donna è mobile" e "Il cielo in una stanza". Caterina Valente ha collaborato con alcuni dei più grandi compositori italiani dell'epoca, tra cui Gino Paoli e Ennio Morricone. La sua carriera si è estesa per oltre sessant'anni, durante i quali ha ottenuto numerosi successi discografici e teatrali. Oltre alla musica, Caterina Valente ha anche recitato in film e televisione, dimostrando un talento poliedrico che l'ha consacrata come una vera icona dello spettacolo italiano.
