You spin your words like a record in motion,
step into the party, step out a commotion,
with stars in your eyes,
and with fire at your fingertips,
burn down this city and everyone in it,
singing, "Oh, we are the dancers!"
Show me the skyline and I'll show you decadence,
a subtle reminder of hearts filled with loneliness,
give me your worst words and I'll bring the sticks and stones,
I'd hate to use them,
you can't shake it with broken bones...
Oh we are the dancers!
Don't complain if you can't win,
its just something we live for,
and we do it well as you'll see by the way that we,
rock and we roll over state-lines and dollar signs...
Oh you dance like its your job.
All Time Low is an American pop-punk band formed in the suburbs of Baltimore, Maryland, in 2003. The original lineup consisted of Alex Gaskarth (vocals and guitar) and Jack Barakat (guitar), who later recruited Zack Merrick (bass) and Rian Dawson (drums). Influenced by bands like Green Day and blink-182, All Time Low distinguished themselves for their energetic sound and engaging live shows, often characterized by confetti and beach balls. After playing in local venues on the East Coast and South during school breaks, they released the EP "The Three Words to Remember in Dealing with the End" in 2004 and the album "The Party Scene" the following year. In 2006, they were signed by Hopeless Records after sharing the stage with bands like Motion City Soundtrack, The Early November, and Plain White T's. Their first album for Hopeless Records was "Put Up or Shut Up", followed by "So Wrong, It's Right" in 2009. Some of All Time Low's most representative songs include "Dear Maria, Count Me In", "Weightless", "Monsters", and "Somewhere in Nevada".
